Planning Aid Wales provided town planning training for newly elected members of the Council. The training aimed to provide councillors with an
- Overview of planning law and policy and the basic structure of the system in Wales, including the purpose of planning and the Welsh Government’s priorities and expectations.
- Understanding of the Development Management process including enforcement, planning appeals and planning obligations.
- Explanation of the role of councillors in the process and basis for decision making.

- Overview of planning law and policy and the basic structure of the system in Wales, including the purpose of planning and the Welsh Government’s priorities and expectations.
- Understanding of the Development Management process including enforcement, planning appeals and planning obligations.
- Awareness of the role of Place Plans.
- Explanation of the role of councillors in the process and basis for decision making.

- Understanding of the Development Management process including enforcement, planning appeals and planning obligations. In particular discussions were given to HMO developments and parking requirements.
- Explanation of the role of councillors in the process and basis for decision making.
